Every Christmas season the Brandywine River Museum decorates its trees and galleries with "critters". These whimsical characters are fashioned by volunteers of the Brandywine Conservancy from a vast collection of natural dried flowers, grasses, seeds, and pods. Each year the display draws many thousands of visitors from around the country eager to see new creations, as well as old favorites such as the Musical Tree, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, or the three "critter" tenors - Pavoratti, Carreras, and Domingo.
